TOMI POROSTOCKY.

I thought up More Party Animals on somewhat of a whim, but is rooted in concerns I have held for quite a long time. In a country that prides itself on its diversity and entrepreneurial spirit, it's always been disheartening to me that those same qualities are not readily encouraged within the American political arena. Needless to say, i wanted to say my bit.

However, when it comes to politics, the only thing more important than the message itself is its delivery. I've never been a huge fan of the negativity in politics, as it tends to alienate more than bind. That's why More Party Animals is intended to act as a lighthearted kick-start toward change in this country, as I strongly believe it is easier to reach people with a laugh than it is with a fist. In the end, I hope MPA at the least brings a smile to people's faces, and at most, encourages people to act toward a more diversified ballot. Enjoy.

TOMI POROSTOCKY is a designer living in Brooklyn, NY. His favorite Party Animal is the amoeba
ED MCKIRDY

I got my start in the illustrious world of graphic design through the unsavory world of hardcore punk rock. Before I even knew what "graphic design" meant,  I was cutting and pasting together flyers, fanzines, demo covers, record covers, and t-shirt designs for bands and getting very comfortable with glue sticks, xerox machines, and x-acto knives. Then one day while hard at work on a layout for one of the bands on my record label; it hit me that design was fun and I oughta learn how to do it for real. After getting my master's degree at SVA in Manhattan (where I met the infamous Tomi), he and I decided to pool our resources and work on a some projects together. I had seen his More Party Animals piece in Milton Glaser's The Design of Dissent which let to us teaming up and presenting his idea to the world. The results are what you see here.

ED MCKIRDY is a graphic designer in
Soho, NY.  Owner of the independent record label, Livewire Records, he also plays guitar for Bridge 9 Records recording artists, Triple Threat.
