The group comprises monks and staff from Thai temples in Kolkata and Buddhists who were on a pilgrimage in India.
All returnees must undergo screening procedures and test for Covid-19 at the airport, and later to complete the mandatory 14-day quarantine. All monks are scheduled to be quarantined at H2do Residence in Samut Prakarn while the others will stay at Rattanakosin Hotel in Bangkok.
As of Saturday (April 25), India had 23,452 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 723 deaths and 4,814 persons had recovered.

31 Thais return from Japan, sent for quarantine
Thirty-one Thais stranded in Japan arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport on Friday (April 24).
The returnees flew All Nippon Airways flight NH 847, which arrived at 3.30 p.m.
They were received by the Deputy Chief of Joint Staff at the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, General Pariphat Phalasin, the deputy general manager for operations Group 1 at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Kittipong Kittikachorn, and staff from related authorities.
Since none of the returnees had fever, they were sent by bus to undergo 14 days of quarantine.
Eighteen of them were sent to the Rattanakosin Hotel, while 13 were sent to the Elegance Hotel.
