Chaoprayasurasak City Municipality in Chon Buri will provide a Bt1,000 cash handout to people suffering from the impact of Covid-19. The handout would be in addition to the government’s Bt5,000-per-month campaign.
The municipality announced on its website (http://chaoprayasurasak.go.th) that registrations will be open from May 1-3 at the municipality office between 9am and 4pm. Approved registrants will receive Bt1,000 per household whether or not they are approved to receive the government’s Bt5,000 cash handout.
To be eligible, a candidate must be a local resident of Chaoprayasurasak City, aged over 18 years, and be a private employee or self-employed. Students, civil servants, state-owned enterprise employees and pensioners will not be considered for the handout. Most importantly, enrollees need to provide proof of being affected by the Covid-19 crisis.
Required documents for registration include copies of home registration, ID card, bank passbook and job evidence (if any).
“Registrants should wear face mask and maintain social distancing during registration days,” the municipality added.
