The Nakhon Ratchasima Infectious Disease Commission has announced clear guidelines for visitors to the province to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Nakhon Ratchasima Governor Wichian Chantharothai said on Saturday (May 2) that people who enter the province from May 1 must report to village health volunteers in their area within 24 hours of arriving.

“Meanwhile, the village health volunteers must report to the community health authorities as soon as possible,” he said.

“People coming from Bangkok, Phuket, Nonthaburi, Yala, Samut Prakan, Chonburi, Pattani, Songkhla, Chiang Mai and Pathum Thani must undergo 14 days quarantine at their residence.”

He further explained that people entering the province must observe their symptoms, stay away, refrain from gatherings, not share items, wash hands regularly and wear a face mask.

“If they have symptoms, such as fever, persistent cough, sore throat and panting, they must inform public health officials at hospitals located in their area as soon as possible,” he said

He added that if people who have been ordered to undergo quarantine must come back before the due date, public health officials must review their health before allowing them to return.

“If their temperature was over 37.5 degrees Celsius, the officials must send them to a hospital as soon as possible.”
