Tight regulations issued for the return of domestic flights

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has issued strict rules for passengers aimed at preventing the spread of Covid-19 on domestic flights. Some domestic air services are set to resume on May 1. 

When passengers arrive at the airport, they will be screened and asked to wear face masks, said the CAAT. 

Any passenger whose body temperature exceeds 37.3 degrees Celsius will be barred from entering the airport. 

The CAAT regulations are as follows: 

– One seat will be left free between every passenger to maintain social distance. 

– Passengers with body temperature above 37.3C or other symptoms shall notify officials. 

– Passengers need to keep up with social distance. 

– Passengers must wear masks for face. 

– No food or drink permitted onboard. 

– All flights must provide alcohol-based sanitisers. 

– Crew members are required to wear face masks, gloves and protective clothing. 

– On flights of more than 90 minutes, passengers or crew members who show symptoms must be seated separately at the rear of the aircraft. 

– Planes must be sanitised after each flight.
